New Delhi based music producer Sublime Sound and groundbreaking singer-songwriter KAVYA’s debut collaboration emanates true sonic beauty in living colour.

‘Colour’ bridges the gap between left-field electronic soundscapes with its intelligent breakbeats, lush harmonic movements and Kavya’s playfully demure vocal delivery. Though a highly collaborative experience for both artists, the song takes its sound design and production language from Anhad’s musical sensibility and drifts seamlessly with KAVYA’s poetic lyrics, melody & cadence.

For Anhad, the aspiration was using Kavya’s voice and tone in a newly altered way without losing its authenticity and the flexibility of her voice inspired him to alter it in many different ways where he was successfully able to capture a fresh new perspective on her artistry and push the buttons towards making things a little more edgy. Most of the melodic parts on the song were performative takes and many of them were actually the first or the second takes done on a little synth he has called the Roland JDXi.

‘Colour’ is an alluring electronic and dance track that beautifully shapes any space it graces. Sublime Sounds transitions from a club heavy sound to a more warm, summery, radio friendly space whilst subtly paying homage to his influences of Jungle, early House music and 90’s UK Hardcore.

KAVYA is a singer-songwriter, performing and recording artist from New Delhi. From being a part of a band to collaborating with some of the leading producers in India her focus now lies on her solo project which is a celebration of her raw emotions and roots. With three single releases under her belt KAVYA is gearing up to release her debut EP titled 'Know Me Better' in 2021.Her music has been featured across platforms such as Colorsxstudio, VICE, Stamp The Wax, Source Radio, Dummy Mag, WWFM, BBC Radio One, BBC Asian Network, Platform Mag, Curator Mag, Radio 80K amongst others.
